Spiritual journey in the Love of God

God has given us His Holy Spirit so that we can experience intimacy with Him and enjoy all He has for us.
These key verses describe our relationship with God…
-You cannot live the Christian life in your own strength (Galatians 3: 3)
-As you walk in the Spirit, you have the ability to live a life pleasing to God (Galatians 5:16, 25)
-As you walk in the Spirit, you experience intimacy with God and all He has for you (Galatians 5: 22-23)
-By faith, you experience God's power through the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 3: 16-17) Feelings about God may change from time to time. However, the promises of God's Word in the Bible– not feelings – are the basis of confidence.

The Christian lives by faith (trust) in God Himself and His Word. Focus on Jesus and His loving forgiveness. Trust the promise of God's Word, the Bible, not feelings. Receiving Christ begins a life long relationship with Him. The Bible refers to this as Eternal Life--begin to know God in this life, and continue in relationship with Him in the next. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5: 17). Just like a seed in the ground cannot grow without water and sunshine, neither can we grow in our faith without certain key elements. Spiritual growth results from trusting Jesus Christ with every detail of your life.
It must start by getting to know Jesus, because you can't trust someone you don't know. Praying is talking with God.
Talk to Him as a Friend.

G – Go to God in prayer daily (John 15: 7)
R – Read God's Word daily (Acts 17: 11) – begin with the gospel of John
O – Obey God moment by moment (John 14: 21)
W – Witness for Christ by your life and word (Matthew 4: 19 & John 15:8)
T – Trust God with every detail of your life (1 Peter 5: 7)
H – Holy Spirit – Allow Him to control and empower your daily life and witness . . . (Galatians 5: 16-17; Acts 1:8)

We have many difficulties, but God comforts us when we put Him first in our lives.
The First Commandment is to love God with all your heart and strength and mind. Hebrews 12: 2 says to keep your eyes on Jesus.
He promised to be with us always. We can do nothing without the Vine/branch relationship (John 15: 5-15).
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks (Philippians 4: 4-8).
Trust God always to give wisdom and strength to live each moment for Him.
I pray that as you seek and praise God, you will feel His presence.
Trust Him to make you more like Jesus day by day.
God bless you with peace and give you hope.
